Haymarket Hotel  Making Conde Nast’s 2008 Annual ‘Hot’ list 2 months before the doors even opened, the Haymarket is one of London’s best design hotels with a hip yet eclectic design, and a sophisticated yet relaxed ambience. Rooms and public spaces are some of the most stylish and comfortable in town, along with the exceptional service team who will go out of their way to ensure your stay is as memorable as possible. The hotel has 50 stylish bedrooms, each individually designed with Kit Kemp’s signature elegant contemporary style (₤₤₤₤).

The Zetter  Located in London’s hip Clerkenwell creative district, The Zetter is one of our favourite hotels in town with stylish modern interiors and a very affordable price tag. Every room has been individually designed in a quirky vintage-modern style, with state-of-the-art in-room entertainment and technology, bold colourful furnishings and a dedication to cosy comfort. The guest rooms range from the lower priced Guest and Superior rooms overlooking St. John square, to the more spacious Rooftop Studios boasting lovely city views and outdoor terraces (₤₤).

Boundary  As the most recent newcomer on London’s design hotel scene, we’re very excited about Sir Terence Conran’s new seventeen-room boutique hotel built in a converted Victorian warehouse in the hip Shoreditch area. Each of the stylish bedrooms have been designed by a different famous interior designer, including an impressive playlist of Andree Putman, Charles & Ray Eames and Josef Hoffman. The Boundary complex also boasts a hip new rooftop bar and grill which is already being touted as the next ‘It’ summer spot (₤₤).

Sanderson Hotel  Residing in a 1950s Cubist wallpaper factory, the Sanderson represents the final act of the inimitable Schraeger/ Starck partnership, where the duo went all-out in creating a wild and glamourous minimalist playground. Lushly landscaped hidden gardens, hip low-lit modern public spaces with oversized hedonistic furnishing and illuminated glass box-style bathrooms take centre stage. While some of the jaw-drop factor has left 8 years on, the fashionable crowd have remained loyal and there is still a thrill at being let loose in this seductive playground (₤₤₤).
