The Best Design Hotels in Barcelona

Barcelona is a city that is characterised by cool, stylish and affordable design hotels. We share a few of our favourite design hotels in Barcelona right now.

  1. 1

Casa Camper  Eco-Chic  With the simple ethos that the secret of luxury ‘lies in simplicity’, Casa Camper is very different from most hotels you may have come across in your time. Quirky and unique, Casa Camper has successfully refined the hotel experience by providing edgy and affordable design-savvy accommodation with a genuinely ‘green’ friendly approach. Backed by the Spanish-owned footwear manufacturer Camper, the hotel embodies down to earth, understated cool, with simple comfortable rooms that, in an unusual twist, are split in half on either sides of a hallway. The bedrooms sit on one side facing a quiet backstreet, and private lounge rooms are located across the hall for every guest, each with a hammock, balcony and flat screen TV. The hotel's restaurant, Dos Palillos, is also one of our favourites in town.

Owned by Barcelona’s cool Tragaluz group, Hotel Omm is a favourite with the design and fashion set who can be seen lounging around the hip public spaces at any time of the day. Interiors embody a modern yet soothing minimalistic Zen-style with abundant natural sunlight due to the architectural mastery of the hotel’s exteriors, which simultaneously creates a sense of in-room privacy despite the large windows. The hotel also boasts an incredible modern Spanish restaurant, Moo, which is one of Barcelona's best dining spaces.

Hotel Pulitzer  Stylish  As one of the hippest hotels in Barcelona, the Hotel Pulitzer takes the best of a larger upscale luxury hotel and transforms it into an intimate, endlessly stylish yet comfortable design hotel with luxe furnishings and designer fixtures. Sunlight streams through public spaces, creating a warm and inviting space that sees guests returning time and time again. Popular with a design-savvy crowd, the Hotel Pulitzer is set within in a gorgeous 1920’s historic building that feels more like a friends luxury home than a hotel. Intricate details include an ornate fireplace and a Sicilian alter from the barroc period in the reception area, along with plush designer white leather sofas and an impressive contemporary art collection throughout the hotel. The hotel's rooftop lounge bar is also a popular Barcelona party spot.
