We are actually cheating here by recommending four restaurants at once. Oops. However with the recent opening of the dazzling Ivy complex in Sydney’s inner city, fashionable locals and visitors alike are now treated to five hip new restaurants and four dazzling new bars all in one venue. With entrepreneur Justin Hemmes at the helm (the brains behind most of Sydney’s coolest hotels, restaurants and bars), the Ivy is Sydney’s newest and most glamourous nightlife destination. The bold, stylish steakhouse, Mad Cow, is our favourite, along with the hedonistic voyeur's delight Uccello for pool-side Italian dining, and the Parisian-chic Ast St. Cellar French bistro. The tiny Japanese sushi gem Teppanyaki is OK, but we much prefer Sushi-E in their other Establishment property down the road. We haven’t even started with the myriad of bar options that the Ivy complex presents, so it’s probably best to arrive and completely lose yourself in this decadent adults-only Alice in Wonderland playground.
