In a city that is only just starting to see the influx of some great wine bars, Gazebo was one of Sydney's first sophisticated wine bars on the scene. Housed in a glass gazebo in the trendy Potts Point area, the decor is wildly eccentric with a stylish garden-party playground theme. The Gazebo team have recently opened another bigger and bolder venture called The Winery Surry Hills, which is a fabulous new addition to Sydney’s sophisticated bar scene. Having formerly been an old reservoir site, the stylish interiors blend original industrial fittings (think antique hydraulic equipment) with an eclectic mix of cowhide ottomans, chandeliers, and even a luscious tropical jungle growing out of the wall. With cosy lounges upstairs and a buzzing leafy terrace outside, this is one of Sydney’s most popular venues for a cocktail. The wine list is even more impressive, featuring over 60 international wines by the glass. The Winery Manly has also just opened, so make sure you pop in if you're in Manly.
