The Quest Hotel (formerly The Storrier Hotel) is one of Sydney’s most affordable boutique hotels with stylish and cosy contemporary interiors, and a central location in Sydney’s fashionable Potts Point area. Set in a charming Art Deco building, leading architects Taro Design and award-winning interior designer David Hicks have retained the character of this historic building and feature dramatic, original art pieces throughout the hotel. The 68 studio apartments are very spacious by Sydney standards, and feature earthy hues and funky bold patterns. We prefer the higher-floor rooms at the rear of the building which tend to be quieter than those facing the street. Be aware though that the hotel is located directly on the border of Sydney's seedy Red Light district (which simultaneously plays host to Sydney's coolest nightclubs, along with a rather dodgy crowd of drug dealers and prostitutes). However, don't let this put you off as its very easy to avoid the seedier side of Kings Cross altogether - just ask the hotel's reception team for directions.
