Having opened in Paris in late 2008 by the same talented guys behind the hip Experimental Cocktail Club, Curio Parlor crosses the river to Paris’ Left Bank. A stylish speakeasy hidden near Place Maubert, Curio Parlor attracts a hip and fashionable young crowd. Interiors have the same stylish minimalist neo-baroque feel as the Experimental Cocktail Club, but are spread over two levels with a great deal more lounge space which is a welcome relief after the innocently potent drinks start to take their effect. The short but sharp cocktail menu has its signature blend of exotic ingredients and painstaking preparation, where you won’t mind waiting up to 15 minutes to take that first heavenly sip. This is still a relatively underground gem on Paris' nightlife scene, but that’s likely to change all too quickly.
