Le Citizen is a fun and funky boutique hotel which overlooks the "bobo" (bohemian-bourgeois) hangout of the Canal St Martin, on Paris’ Right Bank. This reasonably priced, pocket sized hotel has just twelve rooms, ranging from the cosy “City” doubles to the spacious “Zen” suites. Le Citizen Hotel also offers a penthouse-sized “Citizen Apartment” which can accommodate groups or families with two spacious bedrooms and a sofa-bed lounge. All rooms are equipped with flat screen televisions and comfortable bedding, as well as attentive touches such as iPads and filtered water. The decor throughout Le Citizen Hotel blends the clean lines of scandinavian design with accents of bright yellow and cobalt blue, illuminated in the day with lots of natural light which floods in through the large windows. Breakfast, provided by a hip and highly rated nearby bakery, is taken downstairs in the space that hosts Le Petit Usagi, a Japanese lunch spot serving cheap and cheerful bento boxes.
