Tim Ho Wan is the fantastic casual dining offering from acclaimed chef Pui, who moved away entirely from gourmet dining in favour of opening an intimate, casual and inexpensive local dim sum restaurant. Offering 3-Michelin star quality dim sum but for a fraction of the price, diners sit elbow-to-elbow in this simple, no-frills eaterie with a minimum of service and fuss. Sit at your table and choose what you want by ticking the options on a sheet of paper, and let chef Pui do the rest. Expect perfectly steamed crystal dumplings with chives and shrimp, delectable char sui bao and roast pork rice rolls. The only drawback is that the word it out, so expect lengthy queues outside of up to an hour or more to secure one of their highly coveted tables.
