Popular with Hong Kong’ British expat crowd, The Pawn gastropub and lounge bar is located in Hong Kong’s Wan Chai district within a row of four tenement buildings dating back to the late 19th-century. Designed by local artist Stanley Wong with a playful “public house cum adults playground” theme, The Pawn offers a multitude of cool eating, drinking and playing spaces split over 14,000 square feet and three different levels. The spacious first floor “Living Room” bar & lounge is a casual drinking and dining space with a wide selection of artisanal beers, bespoke cocktails, vintage cigars and the city’s largest selection of single malt whiskeys. An all-day menu of British classics is also served, including the signature bangers & mash, Scotch egg and Welsh rabbit. Moving upstairs to the second floor, the slightly more formal “Dining Room” restaurant, bar and lounge serves a gastropub-style modern British lunch and dinner menu that changes daily. Finally, the top floor “Rooftop Garden” is a bar lounge that is a popular space for after work drinks.
