With innovative French-Scandinavian cuisine by chef Jens Sondergaard's and fantastic, luminous floor-to-ceiling views overlooking Copenhagen’s picturesque main canal, Soren K is a stylish, upscale bistro that is bound to impress. Set within the dramatic architectural marvel, the Black Diamond building, the restaurant’s interiors are modern minimalism at its best with sleek monochromatic surfaces and chic modern furnishings. Having named the restaurant after Denmark’s famous philosopher, Soren Kierkgaard, chef Jens Sondergaard has created a constantly evolving seasonal menu of light and refined dishes which avoid the use of rich ingredients such as butter, cream or heavy rich cheeses to ensure a low cholesterol dining experience. Expect delicacies such as dried Danish ham with thyme and beurre noir, and perfectly grilled Nordic crayfish. The service team is highly knowledgeable and the wine list commendable. The Black Diamond building also houses an interesting bookshop, rooftop terrace and concert space, all well worth a visit on your way out. Reservations are recommended.
