Hotel Brandenburger Hof

  • Luxury

With a prime location on Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm, the luxurious Hotel Brandenburger Hof is set within a beautiful fin-de-siècle mansion which was transformed in 1991 by architects Peter Sauter and Kenji Tsuchiya. Mixing historic stucco with a New Realism aesthetic, the sophisticated public spaces showcase the works of the world’s leading designers, with leather sofas by Le Corbusier, cherrywood chairs by Frank Lloyd Wright, tables by Eileen Gray, chairs and coffee tables by Mies van der Rohe--many of which have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. The hotel’s 72 rooms and suites have been outfitted with natural oak furnishings, along with beautiful signed prints by artists such as Ernst Fuchs, Bruno Bruni and Claude Gaveau. A distinctly Japanese aesthetic can also be felt throughout the hotel, from the zen-like private suites to the custom Kanebo products in the Asian-themed spa, where masseuse Ellen Brüder offers heavenly beauty treatments and Balinese body massages. The Michelin-starred Quadriga restaurant is one of the city’s best French fine dining institutions, headed by chef Sauli Kemppainen.
